Castellan of the Ring

On the 12.2.2022 I attended my second tournament. It was hosted in Groß-Enzersdorf (AT) by the Wulperteringer Spieleverein . It consisted of three games, the general point limit was set to 750 and no alliances were allowed. Here is a detailed explanation of the tournament (sorry only in German) but to make it short: Their aim was to provide a special experience and be different from plain tournaments.  The main goal of every scenario is the same - to capture and hold target markers (differently deployed every time - I will add images for each game). But not only did they happen on beautifully prepared game tables, there was another twist: Holding a target requires not one but at least three health points AND every player chooses three secondary missions from from five different categories (taking more than one category was forbidden). Als am Ende des Sommers eine neue Erweiterung angekündigt wurde war ich sehr aufgeregt! Es war das erste Mal das eine neue Erweiterung (inklusive Miniaturen) rauskommt seitdem ich mit dem Hobby Ende 2020 begonnen habe. Es ist fühlte sich gut an ein Fan zu sein und man fühlte sich einer größeren Gemeinschaft zugehörig wenn man mit Freunden und auf FB diskutierte und sich durch Blogs zu dem Thema lesen konnte. Alle Neuen Sachen sind mittlerweile erhältlich und möchte meine Gedanken dazu mit euch Teilen =) Das neue Buch Photo credit:  GW Beginnen wir mit dem Erweiterungsbuch selbst. "Der Fall des Nekromanten" ist eine interessante Themenwahl. Ich habe gelesen das es gewählt wurde um als kleinerer Zwischen-Inhalt zu dienen, bevor die größere Erweiterung zum Krieg im Norden erscheint. Und das macht in meinen Augen Sinn - das Thema kam schon einmal als Erweiterung ~2006. Somit gab es Material auf dem man aufbauen und trotzdem neues hinzufügen konnte.
