Wie ihr vielleicht schon gelesen habt, habe ich begonnen 40k zu spielen und dass es mir sehr gefällt. Ich habe sogar meinen neuen Modelle den Vorzug gegenüber meinen Ostlingen gegeben. Es fühlte sich etwas falsch an am Anfang (immerhin hatte ich mein Ostling-Projekt schon lange vor mir her geschoben). Aber so liegt nun mal gerade meine Motivation und warum sie nicht genießen und nutzen? ;) Ich habe mich mehreren FB Gruppen und Discord Servern angeschlossen, welche sich mit 40k und AdMech beschäftigen. Während ich also dabei war meine Kataphrone zu bemalen und mich durch all den neuen Stoff zu lesen, begann ich über die Unterschiede zwischen MESBG und 40k nachzudenken.  Dabei kam ich auf ein paar interessante Vergleiche und entschied, diese mit euch teilen zu wollen ;) Ich habe diese Beitrag in verschiedene Bereiche gegliedert und schreibe zu jedem etwas über beide Systeme. As you maybe read, I dipped my toes into the 40k system and really enjoyed it. I even prioritized painting my new miniatures over painting my Easterlings. It felt wrong at the beginning (after all I procrastinated my Easterling project already for a long time) but in the end, my motivation currently is with 40k and why not enjoy and go along with it? ;) I also joined multiple FB groups and Discord servers, dedicated to 40k and AdMech. And while painting my Kataphrons and reading through all the stuff, I started thinking about the differences between the system and playstyle of  MESBG and 40k.   Intro Heute ist ein besonderer Tag. Zum ersten Mal, werde ich hier nicht über MESBG schreiben. Heute geht es um meine ersten Schritte in Warhammer 40.000. Seit längerem, versuchte schon ein Freund mich dazu zu bringen, in 40k einzusteigen. Und obwohl ich die Lore und das Universum schon immer faszinierend fand (und die Modelle mag),  habe ich immer abgelehnt. Ein Limit an Zeit und verfügbarem Geld, hindert mich schon daran in MESBG, alles auszuprobieren was mich interessiert.  Bei einem Treffen und Plausch im Mai mit mehreren anderen 40k Spielern, gab es eine lange und ausführliche Diskussion über 40k Lore und das System und ich war schon am Haken. Wieder und wieder besuchte ich den GW Shop und sah mir die Modelle an. Intro Today marks a special day. For the first time, I will not write something about MESBG on this blog. Today it is about my first steps into 40k. Since a longer time, a friend tried to convince me into playing 40k. Even though the lore and universe fascinated me + the models are great - I always declined due to a limit of time and money available, which already hindered me in doing what I wanted, in MESBG. But after meeting up in May and having a very long discussion/talk with multiple people about 40k lore and stories about the system, the hook caught me. Again and again did I visit the GW page and looked through models.  Since the people also told me about a new edition already on the doorsteps, I started following every news and release that was made by GW.  And oh boy was that a vastly different experience from MESBG.
