Castellan of the Ring

Erinnert ihr euch als ich von der Davale Isildur Miniatur erzählt habe? Nun, mein Traum wurde wahr und ich bin nun der stolze Besitzer selbiger Figur! =D Sie zu bemalen war eine wahre Freude und ich muss sagen, dass ich mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden bin. Die Skalierung passt nicht so ganz zusammen mit der Infanterie Version. Aber hey, sie passt auch nicht zusammen mit den GW oder Davale Kriegern, dem alternativen Elendil etc. Also was solls^^ Ich kann die Miniatur jedem Numenor Fan nur wärmstens empfehlen =)

Remember when you I told you about the alternative Davale Isildur? My dream came true and now I own the mounted version of the miniature! =D Painting it was really a joy and I have to say I am pretty happy with the result^^ The scale does not fit with his metal infantry version but hey, it is also not fitting the plastic warriors from GW or Dale or the alternative Elendil so... who cares ;) I can commend it to every Numenor fan =D

Over the course of the last two weeks, it happened two times to me that I dropped miniatures while carrying them somewhere. Once at the Legendarium tournament and once at home. At the tournament it was a Davale Numenor warrior and at home it was a  Slayer of Men Dol Guldur Nazgul. Both times pieces broke off and I had to glue them together again.  This made me recall a topic I turned over in my head already for some time - which miniature materials do we encounter in our hobby and what are the advantages and disadvantages? Allow me to take you on a small tour through the history of miniature materials in MESBG, what we currently have, what the supposedly pros and cons are and my personal experience and preferences =) Btw: Thanks in advance to all people who fueled me with background information and other input while writing this post! Numenor ist eine der kleinsten Fraktionen in MESBG, wenn es nach Profilen geht. Zwei namhafte Helden, ein namenloser Held und ein Krieger Profil - das ist alles. Und trotzdem hat man eine Menge Möglichkeiten wenn es darum geht sie einzukaufen - interessante Alternativmodelle inkludiert. Das ist die Armee welche mich schon beim ersten ansehen von "Die Gefährten" fasziniert hat und welche der Grund war, weshalb ich motiviert wurde mit MESBG zu starten. Auf meinem Weg habe ich einige interessante Erfahrungen beim sammeln dieser Armee gemacht. Deshalb habe ich mich entschlossen selbige zu teilen und vielleicht damit den einen oder anderen Spieler zu motivierten, diese wundervolle Armee auszuprobieren ;) VORAB: Dies ist nicht als all umfassende Anleitung gedacht. Mich persönlich interessieren Umbauten zum Beispiel gar nicht, obwohl sehr gute Resultate von vielen Leuten existieren und es definitiv realisierbar ist. Numenor is one of the smallest factions miniature-wise in MESBG - two named heroes, one unnamed hero and one warrior choice - that's it. And yet it offers quite a lot of options on how to buy it, including interesting alternatives.  This is the army that fascinated me from the first time on watching "The Fellowship of the Ring" and was the reason I became motivated to start MESBG. I went through some interesting experiences while collecting this army. Therefore I want to share this knowledge and maybe encourage a fellow gamer to give this wonderful army a try ;) Please note: This is by no means a complete guide for everything.
