Dol Guldur Project 4

It is some time ago I posted the last update on my Dol Guldur project. Slow painting progress, problems with finding good lighting for taking pictures etc all contributed to that. But now I finished the current batch of miniatures and was able to make some decent pictures.

I took some tries but I was able to realize the color scheme I aimed for. The green for the clothes is the same on all of them.
The Nazgul  and Castellans have blue/gold weapon handles and blades of metal with Biel-Tan green and Nuln Oil washes. 
The armour on the Castellans and the Necromancer uses the same approach + dry brushing and adding highlights.
The armour on the Nazgul is Nuln Oil with brown tones.

Three Nazgul are still missing and I will try to paint them in one batch. 
I am really happy with the results and they already have proven their prowess in battle ;)

The Castellan keeps his watch and happy hobbying until the next time =)

Wie ihr vielleicht schon gelesen habt, habe ich begonnen 40k zu spielen und dass es mir sehr gefällt. Ich habe sogar meinen neuen Modelle den Vorzug gegenüber meinen Ostlingen gegeben. Rise of the Necromancer LL Review

The "Fall of the Necromancer" expansion from autumn 2021, saw four new LL releases. Two of them were hero-only LLs. One was the infamous "Vanquishers of the  Necromancer" - mixing up the tournament scene and stirring up quite a turmoil and discussions about how far a LL should go and if this is not the complete opposite of what the game stands for. While the other LLs (Rangers of Mirkwood and Pits of Dol Guldur) were frequently covered and discussed in podcasts, blogs, YT videos etc, the fourth one was notably absent from all this  or received only a fraction of the time- The Rise of the Necromancer LL. This one was actually the only LL and the only thing of the expansion I was interested in. I had my eyes already set on a Dol Guldur hero-only army for quite some time. MESBG VS 40k 10th Edition - First Experience

As you maybe read, I dipped my toes into the 40k system and really enjoyed it. I even prioritized painting my new miniatures over painting my Easterlings. It felt wrong at the beginning (after all I procrastinated my Easterling project already for a long time) but in the end, my motivation currently is with 40k and why not enjoy and go along with it? ;) I also joined multiple FB groups and Discord servers, dedicated to 40k and AdMech. And while painting my Kataphrons and reading through all the stuff, I started thinking about the differences between the system and playstyle of  MESBG and 40k.
