Dol Guldur Project Finalized

It is quite some time ago since I last posted something about my Dol Guldur project. In fact it is already finished since quite some time. I simply did not mange to find time to do the photographs. Or rather learn how to do better pictures^^

But I finally did and want to share the results with you. In following you can see my Rise of the Necromancer LL army - all Nazgul, the Necromancer and three Castellans.

Quite soon I will also share my review of this army, on which I worked in parallell.

The Castellan keeps his watch and happy hobbying until the next time =)

Intro Das erste Mal seit Sieben Jahren, besuchte ich wieder die Vienna Comic-Con. Und diesmal nicht als einfacher Zuschauer, sondern mit Aussteller Pass! Der liebe Sebastian von den Wulpertingern lud mich ein am Stand seines Vereins, gemeinsam MESBG zu präsentieren - Spiele untereinander zu machen und Interessenten Einführungen zu geben. Das ganze garniert mit einem Gratis Ticket als Aussteller. Ich musste nicht lange überlegen um das Angebot anzunehmen =D Messe-Bericht Die Anreise verlief problemlos und als Aussteller erhielt ich sogar ein ermäßigtes 18 Stunden Ticket für die Parkgarage (welche sich ansonsten mit fast 50 Euro zu Buche geschlagen hätte). Sebastian holte mich vom Eingang ab und erhielt den Aussteller-Badge - muss zugeben dass man sich mit so einem Teil, doch etwas wichtig vorkommt - noch dazu wenn man durch die Kontrollen einfach durchgeht^^ Ich half beim Aufbau der Tische - währenddessen öffnete direkt neben uns das Espresso-Mofa - perfekt für einen Energieschub ;) Oh

Numenor Army Review

Numenor, the most powerful human civilization to ever exist in the world of Middle-earth. Humans that lived longer, were stronger, wiser and taller than all the other humans.  Great seafarers, warriors and builders. So mighty in fact, that at their peak of power, they easily defeated Sauron at his strongest, even with the One ring. And even after their island sunk beneath the waves, when their numbers were greatly dwindled and their strength nowhere near were it had been, they were still able to form the Last Alliance with the High Elves and together, throw down Sauron again, by sheer power of their armies and leaders. Their appearance is one of my favourite parts of the first LOTR movie and I can still remember how captivated I was by this first impression. Rise of the Necromancer LL Review

The "Fall of the Necromancer" expansion from autumn 2021, saw four new LL releases. Two of them were hero-only LLs. One was the infamous "Vanquishers of the  Necromancer" - mixing up the tournament scene and stirring up quite a turmoil and discussions about how far a LL should go and if this is not the complete opposite of what the game stands for. While the other LLs (Rangers of Mirkwood and Pits of Dol Guldur) were frequently covered and discussed in podcasts, blogs, YT videos etc, the fourth one was notably absent from all this  or received only a fraction of the time- The Rise of the Necromancer LL. This one was actually the only LL and the only thing of the expansion I was interested in. I had my eyes already set on a Dol Guldur hero-only army for quite some time. And now I received the perfect LL for my needs.  I want to share with you my experience with this force and what I think about it in detail.
