   Ich fühlte mich endlich wieder produktiv in diesen Limbo-Tagen zwischen Weihnachten und Neujahr - Ich habe nichts für das Hobby getan (außer hier am Blog und im TTS), seit dem Turnier im Oktober. Ich wollte mit etwas kleinem anfangen und somit bot es sich etwas zu erledigen was ich schon seit langer Zeit vor mir hergeschoben habe - meinen Elendil und Isildur Miniaturen, ihre Schilde zu geben. Ich spiele sie sowieso nie ohne (etwas dass auch ihr nie tun solltet^^) und habe auch passende Schilde seit fast einem Jahr rumliegen. Aber auf Turnieren war es nie ein Problem zu deklarieren, dass man sie mit spielt, auch wenn sie nicht am Modell sind + ich war nicht motiviert die Details zu bemalen. Aber jetzt war die  Zeit für Ausreden vorbei und ich begann mit der Bemalung. Es blieb nur eine Frage - wo an den Modellen, sollte ich die Schilde platzieren? Isildur war einfach - die Infanterie Version hat am Rücken den perfekten Platz und die Kavallerie Version hat sogar einen extra reservieren

 I finally felt productive in this limbo days between Christmas and New Years day - I have not done anything (except writing on the blog and playing on TTS) hobby-wise since the tournament in October. I wanted to start small and do something that was waiting for me since a very long time - giving my Elendil und Isildur miniatures their shields. I never play them without shield (and neither should you^^) and had shields laying around since nearly a year. But on tournaments it was never a problem to tell that the models don't have one but play with a shield + I was not motivated to paint the small details. But now there was no longer the time for excuses and I started to paint them. There was only one question left - where to put the shields on the models? Isildur was easy - the infantry version fits it perfectly on the back and the cavalry version has a reserved place on the right back side of the horse. Vor etwa einem Jahr, habe ich den ersten Beitrag auf diesem Blog veröffentlicht. Ich möchte dies zum Anlass nehmen um einen Rückblick auf meine Arbeit hier auf dem Blog und in meinem Hobby generell zu präsentieren. Ich werde meine Fortschritte, ein paar Statistiken und hoffentlich viele interessante Dinge teilen =) Hobby Errungenschaften Zuerst möchte ich über meine Erfolge und Erfahrungen im Hobby selbst schreiben, welche ich im vergangenen Jahr machen durfte. Malen und Basteln Nachdem mein allererstes Pinselset einen Zustand erreicht hatte, bei dem ich mir eingestehen musste, damit keine guten Resultate mehr zu erzielen, folgte ich einer Empfehlung und kaufte ein dreiteiliges Pinselset von Army Painter. Ein mittlerer, ein Detail- und ein Trockenbürst-Pinsel waren darin. Und was soll ich sagen - die Qualität der Werkzeuge hat einen Einfluss auf das Ergebnis^^ Ich denke nicht dass ich ein vergleichbares Resultat für meinen berittenen Elendil und Isildur erreicht hätte, ohne diese neuen

I wanna take this opportunity to do a retrospective of my work here on the blog and my hobby work in general. Painting & Tinkering After my first set of brushes reached the point where I had to admit that I could no longer achieve acceptable results (outside of using them to put a black base coat on miniatures), I followed a recommendation and bought a three items set from Army Painter.
