Converted Numenor Captain

My Numenor force had already enough warriors and shiny new mounted named heroes. But one thing was still missing. A mounted Captain with full gear. Not only would he complete my collection but it is also very viable option to use a Numenor Captain as your second hero or as a small partner in a Last Alliance force with a focus on Rivendell.

So, after my shyness of doing my own conversions went away and I learned to work with Milliput, it was time to close the last gap for my Numenor force.

I am proud to present you my converted Numenor Captain with heavy armour, lance, shield and horse.

The base was an already decently painted knight of Minas Tirith, who was missing part of his lance. Thanks a lot on this juncture to MichaelM, my Master of Würfeldorden, for providing my this miniature =)

The work I did:
  • Mold a lance tip with Milliput and placing it on the lance staff
  • Cut off the knights head, cut off a Numenor warrior head and placing it on the knights body.
  • Molding a transition between head and body as a scarf
  • Molding a cloak and putting it on the back of the body
  • Painting molded parts and repainting other existing parts to match the miniature with my Numenor force colors
I have to say that I am really satisfied with the results and was surprised it went quite smoothly. A great personal hobby achievement! =D

I hope you like it too ;)

I will try to now do some nice shoots of the full force.
